Superb. Thanks for your help. I’ve been having tons of trouble using an external keyboard between windows and mac and trying to get them to play nicely. This has made a big difference.

I also added this one, and then it worked!

sudo rm -rf /var/db/receipts/com.mysql.*

Thanks Salman, I’ll add that to the post. Mind you that line will be ignored if you have frozen rails in your app.

u also need to change this line in envoirnment.rb

RAILS_GEM_VERSION = ’2.2.2′ unless defined? RAILS_GEM_VERSION
RAILS_GEM_VERSION = ’2.3.3′ unless defined? RAILS_GEM_VERSION
